Міжнародна триєнале еко-плакату «4-й Блок» у Харкові, з’явилась майже чверть століття тому, як відгук на Чорнобильську катастрофу - трагічну подію національної та світової історії. Проведення у 2015 році вже ІХ Триєнале співпало з визначною датою у культурному надбанні людства – 700-літтям з часу написання великим Данте «Пекла», першої частини його безсмертної «Божественної комедії». Дивним чином саме тут і зараз події, що відбуваються в Україні стали демонічною ілюстрацією цього грандіозного поетичного твору.
Каталог Триєнале являє собою художній альбом, в якому зібрані плакати дизайнерів з 41 країни світу, що приймали участь у головних виставках IX Міжнародної триєнале екоплакату «4-й Блок» за темами «Екологія людини», «Екологія Землі», «Екологія культури». Ілюстративний матеріал представляє різноманітні погляди дизайнерів різних континентів на актуальні проблеми екології,гострі соціальні та культурні аспекти в житті сучасного суспільства.

International Eco-Poster Triennial "the 4th Block" in Kharkiv was founded almost a quarter century ago as a response to the Chernobyl disaster – a tragic event of national and world history. In 2015 "the 4th Block" Triennial coincides with a prominent date in the cultural heritage of mankind – the 700th anniversary of the creation of Dante’s "Inferno", the first part of his immortal "Divine Comedy". Surprisingly, the events happening here and now in Ukraine became a demonic illustration of this grand poetic work.
This publication is an illustrated album, which contains posters made by designers from 41 countries. These posters took part in IX International Triennial of Eco Poster “the 4th Block” shown such themes as “Human ecology”, “Ecology of the Earth”, and “Eco-culture”. The illustrative material demonstrates different approaches of designers from all over the world on the actual problems of ecology, acute social problems and cultural aspects of life in modern society.
